TLC Timely Tips:
Posting Grades

Hello SOLS instructors!

The Teaching and Learning Center team congratulates you on completing another successful session! TLC would like to share helpful grade posting resources and tips and to give you the support you may need. As a reminder, the final grade submission deadline is Friday, March 6th, so please submit your grades as soon as possible if you haven't already.

How to export your Gradebook grades to PeopleSoft

Once your Canvas Gradebook has been finalized, instructors can use the “Export Final Grades to PeopleSoft” link in the Canvas navigation panel to import their students’ final grades into the PeopleSoft Grade Roster. Although there are many ways to upload final grades for your courses into PeopleSoft’s Grade Roster, we strongly recommend this method to make the process quick and easy!

See How to use the Canvas Gradebook Export tool or visit TLC's Grade Posting guide to learn more.

Posting final grades to the ASU grade roster

After your final grades have been imported into the Grade Roster from Canvas, you will need to access the Grade Roster on your My ASU in order to approve and officially post all imported grades to student records. Clicking Save alone DOES NOT automatically post the grades to the Grade Roster and you will need to click on Post separately. After grades for a course have been posted, student grades can only be changed through the Grade Change Request process.

For additional support, please review the following contacts and links. Please note that the TLC team does not have access to view rosters or grades as posted to PeopleSoft.
