If you use Honorlock on your assessment, you can utilize the program’s Search and Destroy feature to protect your educational content from unauthorized copying or distribution on websites like Course Hero, Chegg, and Brainly.

  1. Within Honorlock LTI, select Results on the assessment you want to manage
  2. Navigate to the Search & Destroy tab
The assessments search results will appear, organized into 3 categories:
  • Compromised Items are questions found on 5 or fewer supported websites.
    • Honorlock’s Search and Destroy feature will process DMCA takedown requests if the exam administrator owns the assessment content
    • To initiate the takedown process, select the Send Takedown to All button.
  • Commonly Found Items are questions found on more than 5 websites or on zero supported websites
    • It is recommended to change these questions.
  • Unique Items are those questions not found online.

If Honorlock is unable to automatically pull Search and Destroy Questions, you must upload the questions as a CSV file under Search and Destroy then press save and run Seek and Destroy again.
